Managing Terminal Service Sessions Remotely

I needed to login to a Windows Server 2003 and got the following error message:

“You exceeded the allowed connection count”

I found this post http://weblogs.asp.net/owscott/archive/2003/12/30/46776.aspx and tried the command line qwinsta and rwinsta commands but kept getting:

“No session exists for *”

So reading further down I found that I could login to a server that I had access to, open Terminal Service Manager and connect to the server from there.

I found this post which describes the process with screen shots: http://thebackroomtech.com/2008/04/09/howto-remotely-disconnect-a-terminal-services-session/
